Nasolabial folds are the lines that run from the sides of the nose down to the corners of the mouth. They're sometimes called smile lines or laugh lines because they become more visible when you smile. Over time, these folds often deepen as the cheeks lose volume and skin loses elasticity, making them more prominent even at rest.
