Droopy eyelids
Excess or sagging skin on the upper eyelids that can hood the eyes, make applying makeup difficult, and in advanced cases even narrow the field of vision.
What It Is
Droopy eyelids occur when the skin of the upper eyelid loses elasticity and begins to sag, creating a hooded appearance. This happens naturally with age as collagen breaks down and skin loses firmness, though genetics, sun exposure, and certain medical conditions can accelerate the process. In mild cases it may be a cosmetic concern, but significant drooping can interfere with makeup application and, in advanced situations, affect the upper field of vision.
